The world’s largest dog show descends on the Birmingham NEC again this year, on Thursday 10th March. Attracting breeds of all sizes, shapes and colours, to be preened, displayed and showed off according to their looks, temperament and even fly ball handling skills.
Once you’ve met the breed of your dreams and shopped ‘til you dropped on the stands, make sure you head on over to Hall 2 and meet the folks at Agria Pet Insurance. They are offering every visitor the chance to win a car! All you have to do is guess the winning combination of a safe to take home the special prize.
Agria is one of the world’s leading animal insurers, specialising in small animal and equine insurance. Founded in Sweden over 120 years ago, Agria came to the UK in 2009 and is based in Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire.
Agria UK works closely with veterinary practices, the Kennel Club and the Governing Council of the Cat Fancy (GCCF) and supports the work of numerous charities and rehoming centres by providing free pet insurance for 5 weeks for both puppies and rehomed rescue dogs of any age.
There is a serious side to their attendance of course, they’ll be encouraging pet owners to protect their pet and the family finances, by looking into the good deals available for pet insurance. Agria are offering a special Crufts money-saving offer of 4 months half price pet insurance. For most people that’s enough of a saving to cover their ticket price and have money left over. If you can’t make it to the show, just visit http://www.agriapet.co.uk/crufts between 5th and 19th March to check out the same offer.
Agria will also be parting with a £75,000 cheque to the Kennel Club Charitable Trust – a charity that helps look after the health and welfare of all dogs. The donation brings the total to £500,000 donated by Agria since 2009.
It doesn’t stop there, get yourself over to Hall 3 and visit the Agria International stand, manned by their Swedish team who will be flying in especially for the event. On offer will be exclusive, Swedish-designed dog accessories at special prices for stand visitors.
This is also where breeders can learn about the unique breeding risk cover on offer that provides protection for breeding bitches throughout pregnancy and birth and also covers the puppies. Combined with free introductory ‘5 Weeks Free’ puppy insurance, that means there’s now the opportunity for dogs to enjoy uninterrupted cover throughout life. As well as peace of mind, there is a £30 cashback deal with the policy and extra rewards to be earned.
Alastair Cook, Head of Sales and Marketing at Agria is asking pet owners to sort out the serious stuff as well as enjoying the show, “It’s easy to get carried away by the glamour of Crufts but pet insurance can literally be a life saver. Not having to worry about the affordability of veterinary care when your pet is sick allows families to concentrate on supporting their pet to get well again, safe in the knowledge that they have done everything they can. Whether it’s at the Agria stand or the Kennel Club Pet Insurance stand, we sincerely hope dog owners will do what’s important first, sort out insurance and go off and enjoy the rest of show, knowing they have done something really important to protect their pet.”
Rehoming organisations can also have a chat with Agria at the Hall 3 stand about something which is also quite unique: ‘5 Weeks Free’ insurance is provided by Agria for dogs of any age that are rehomed to new owners – there are no age limits ensuring new owners can get off to a great start with their pet.
Alastair Cook, Head of Sales and Marketing at Agria explains the company is also asking pet owners past and present to share their experiences of owning older dogs, “The appeal of a puppy is very obvious but owning an older dog acquired at any stage of life can be hugely rewarding. We’d love to find out what kind of support pet owners need as their pet gets older.”
